At this meeting we discussed a range of strategic priorities for the Board. We had the opportunity to focus on how each item relates to the Board’s agenda to drive forward effective partnership working in the city as part of developing a renewed vision and sense of purpose. We discussed how we take forward key areas of work as building blocks for our city strategy, including the new constellations project and the vitally important tackling poverty agenda.
10.50 am - Tackling Poverty Action Plan - Cat Arnold, Policy & Improvement Officer, SCC
Cat outlined where the work with the Financial Cliff Edge working group has got to so far, including the content gathered from the Poverty Summit. She shared the initial ideas for the Action Plan for discussion. Click HERE to view Cat’s presentation.
11.10 am - City Strategy: update - James Henderson, Director of Policy, Performance & Communications, SCC and Laura White, Strategy & Partnerships Manager
James and Laura did a brief re-cap of the discussion at the previous meeting and set out a proposed timetable and process for developing the strategy. Click HERE to view the presentation.
