At the November meeting we were joined by Mayor of South Yorkshire, Oliver Coppard, and we developed an agenda which covered a range of topics which are ongoing areas of focus for SCPB, but also important issues to explore in the context of how we work together across South Yorkshire. The discussions sought to highlight the many areas of existing collaboration, including skills and tackling poverty, as well as the further opportunities we have to work in partnership across the region. Underpinning all of this was our current work to develop a clear set of shared ‘City Goals’ which will provide a crucial point of reference for us all in Sheffield and for our partners at South Yorkshire level, setting out what we are trying to achieve together and why.
